DICE is an indie rock band hailing from Perth, Western Australia, formed in 2020. The group comprises Ben Hodge (vocals, guitar), Sam Barrett-Lennard (drums), Tom King (lead guitar), and Regan Beazley (bass). Their music is characterized by catchy, sun-soaked melodies paired with introspective lyrics, drawing comparisons to bands like Spacey Jane and Arctic Monkeys.

The band's name, DICE, was inspired by matching dice tattoos that Ben and Tom got in Bali in 2019 to commemorate their long-standing friendship. Upon forming in 2020, DICE quickly made a mark on the Perth music scene with their energetic live performances. Their debut show in November 2020 set the stage for a series of successful gigs, helping them build a dedicated local following.

In April 2022, DICE released their debut EP, Adolescent Arcade, showcasing their signature blend of upbeat melodies and reflective songwriting. This was followed by their sophomore EP, Time Will Tell, in May 2023, which received extensive airplay on Triple J, Australia's leading youth radio station. The EP featured standout tracks like "Quick to Judge" and "Double Espresso," further cementing their place in the Australian indie music scene.

DICE has built a reputation for their high-energy live shows, performing at major festivals such as Groovin' the Moo and Splendour in the Grass. In 2024, they embarked on their "Quick to Judge" national tour, playing in both regional areas and major cities across Australia. Their engaging performances and relatable lyrics have resonated with audiences nationwide, contributing to their growing popularity.

Their debut studio album, Midnight Zoo, was released in August 2024. The album is an ode to their Perth recording studio, Tone City Studios, a place the band describes as a creative haven where "the magic happens." The lead single, "This Is Not a Love Song," was accompanied by a lyric video featuring live performance footage, capturing the band's dynamic stage presence.

DICE's music features catchy, sun-soaked melodies with introspective lyrics. Their single "Quick To Judge" exemplifies their approach, blending intimate themes with energetic instrumentation. The band cites influences like Spacey Jane and has been compared to Arctic Monkeys in terms of their sound and appeal.
