D:Ream are a Northern Irish-British pop and dance group best known for their infectious house-inspired hits and energetic performances during the 1990s. Formed in Derry in 1991 by singer Peter Cunnah and keyboardist Al Mackenzie, the band quickly gained attention for their uplifting melodies, dancefloor-ready beats, and socially conscious lyrics.

The group achieved mainstream success with their 1993 anthem Things Can Only Get Better, which became a chart-topping hit and a defining track of the era. Their debut album D:Ream On Volume 1 (1993) featured a mix of euphoric dance tracks and melodic pop, solidifying the band as key players in the UK’s vibrant club scene. Subsequent hits, including U R the Best Thing and Blame It on Me, further showcased their ability to blend catchy hooks with dancefloor energy.
