Sound balance was dreadful. There is no denying the guy can play like a virtuoso but the balance was wrong. The bass player was good but tried to hog the limelight too much and you couldnt really hear the drums that well. The quieter and acoustic numbers were good . the rockier numbers sounded fuzzy and confused. Im glad I went but came away a little disapointed

One Of The Greatest

Eric Johnson is easily one of the greatest guitar players alive. His fingers danced along the fret board with skill and precision that very few people possess. His rhythm section were also brilliant and they managed to keep up with Eric for the whole performance. They played tracks ranging from Seven Worlds to the most recent album Up Close. And of course played some classics from Ah Via Musicom including my personal favourites Desert Rose and Cliffs Of Dover. Overall a must see

Eric Johnson is without doubt a very accomplished guitarist and having heard a number of studio performances and seen video of his live performances with G3 some years ago - I was very much looking forward to this concert - since EJ tours of the UK are few and far between and particularly as we had bagged decent seats for this date. The concert was unfortunately marred by very poor sound quality - the guitar sound (lets face it - the primary reason to see the guy) was often lost in the mix and w...
