Flipturn is an American indie rock band hailing from Fernandina Beach, Florida. Formed in 2015 by high school seniors Dillon Basse (lead vocals), Tristan Duncan (guitar), and Madeline Jarman (bass), the band later expanded to include Mitch Fountain (guitar/synthesizer) and Devon VonBalson (drums) during their college years at the University of Florida.

The band's discography includes the EPs Heavy Colors (2017), Citrona (2018), and Something You Needed (2020). Their debut full-length album, Shadowglow, was released in August 2022 under Dualtone Records, receiving positive reception.

Flipturn has built a reputation for dynamic live performances, gracing stages at major festivals such as Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and Governors Ball. They have also toured extensively across the United States, sharing stages with bands like Mt. Joy

In September 2024, Flipturn released the single "Rodeo Clown" and announced their sophomore album, Burnout Days, which was released in January 2025

With a blend of catchy hooks, introspective lyrics, and driving guitar riffs, Flipturn continues to captivate audiences and solidify their presence in the indie rock scene.
