Marti Pellow is a Scottish singer and songwriter best known as the unmistakable lead voice of Wet Wet Wet, one of Britain's most successful pop bands. Born in Clydebank, Pellow rose to fame during the 1980s as the group achieved a remarkable run of hit singles and albums. His soulful vocal style became central to songs including "Sweet Little Mystery", "Goodnight Girl", "Angel Eyes" and the international smash hit "Love Is All Around", establishing him as one of the most familiar British voices of his generation.
Alongside his achievements with Wet Wet Wet, Pellow has developed an extensive solo career that has allowed him to explore soul, pop, jazz and musical theatre. His work on stage has included major theatrical productions, while his solo recordings have demonstrated a musical identity extending well beyond the songs that originally brought him fame. This combination of chart success, theatre experience and decades of performing has given Pellow a varied catalogue from which to build his live shows.
A Marti Pellow concert combines celebrated hits with the warmth and personality of an experienced live entertainer. His distinctive voice remains at the centre of performances that can move from intimate, soulful moments to songs made for an entire audience to sing together. For fans of Wet Wet Wet, British pop and classic songwriting, seeing Marti Pellow live offers an opportunity to revisit familiar favourites while experiencing the wider musical journey of an artist with decades of stage experience.
