Old Saw create evocative instrumental music rooted in American folk traditions, drawing inspiration from rural landscapes, traditional sounds and the atmosphere of old time music. The collective brings together acoustic instrumentation and carefully arranged compositions to create music that feels reflective, spacious and closely connected to a sense of place. Their work offers an absorbing experience for listeners interested in folk, Americana and instrumental storytelling.

Rather than relying on conventional song structures or vocals, Old Saw allow instruments, melodies and textures to tell their stories. Their music can evoke open landscapes and quiet moments, with acoustic sounds working together to create an unhurried and immersive listening experience. This approach gives the ensemble a distinctive position within contemporary folk and experimental roots music.

In concert, Old Saw's detailed arrangements can become particularly intimate, allowing audiences to hear the interaction between individual instruments and the subtle changes within each composition. The result is a performance built around attentive listening rather than spectacle. For fans of atmospheric folk, acoustic music and adventurous instrumental composition, seeing Old Saw live offers an opportunity to enter their carefully constructed musical world.
