Real Estate, an indie rock band founded in 2008 in Ridgewood, New Jersey, and now based in Brooklyn, New York, consists of Martin Courtney (vocals, guitar), Alex Bleeker (bass, vocals), Matt Kallman (keyboards), Julian Lynch (guitar), and Sammi Niss (drums). Since their inception, they've released six studio albums: "Real Estate" (2009), "Days" (2011), "Atlas" (2014), "In Mind" (2017), "The Main Thing" (2020), and "Daniel" (2024).
Originating from a shared love for bands like Weezer and Pavement, the trio of Courtney, Bleeker, and Mondanile honed their musical skills during high school, eventually forming Real Estate. Their debut album in 2009 marked the beginning of their journey to indie rock stardom. Despite lineup changes, including the departure of Mondanile, the band continued to evolve, releasing albums that garnered critical acclaim and expanding their fan base. With their latest release, "Daniel" (2024), Real Estate continues to push artistic boundaries, cementing their status as influential figures in the indie rock scene.
