Formed in Falon, Sweden in 1999, Sabaton are a Grammy Award winning, six piece power metal band whose music and lyrics are strongly influenced by the events surrounding historical wars. The six members of the band are Joakim Broden on vocals and keyboard, Rikard Sunden on rhythm and lead guitars, Oskar Montelius on lead and rhythm guitars, Par Sundstrom on bass, Daniel Mullback on drums and percussion and Daniel Myhr on keyboards. All the band members play in their live concerts and help to sell Sabaton tour tickets.

The band recorded their first album, Metalizer, in 2002 but due to a delay, no Sabaton tickets were initially sold and the album wasn’t released by their Italian record company for another five years. Despite this delay, which had no long term effect on sales of Sabaton tour tickets and actually made it the fourth Sabaton album to reach shop shelves, Metalizer is still considered the band’s first full length album release.

Both Primo Victoria and Attero Dominatus continued to help sell the best Sabaton tickets and included songs with a strong historical influence such as Back in Control, which was written about the British liberation of the Falkland Islands and Angel’s Calling, which took its influence from the trench warfare experienced by the soldiers during the First World War. The Art of War was inspired by a book written by Sun Tzu and contained songs such as Cliffs of Gallipoli and Ghost Division, again showing a heavy war influence in their writing. The band’s next offering was their fifth full length album, Coat of Arms, and with a track list that includes songs such as Uprising and Screaming Eagles, it seemed that Sabaton had plenty more to say about the history of war. As well as their extensive catalogue of studio albums and Sabaton tickets sold, the band have always made sure their fans get to see them live, selling Sabaton tour tickets and playing festivals around the world including Bloodstock in the UK and the ProgPowerUSA X Festival in the States.
