MUSIC DOUBLE BILL IN JUNE WITH THE SATURDAYS AND LAWSON ON THE JULY COURSE
A double bill with The Saturdays and Lawson is the opening music event of 2013 at Newmarket Racecourses, it was announced today.
After the last horse race on 8 June the two bands will perform on ‘Summer Saturday Live’, the second day of racing on the July Course.
Since The Saturdays formed in 2007, the band has become a household name, with 11 top ten singles, including songs like All Fired Up and Higher and three top ten albums. Renowned for their energetic live performances, The Saturdays have also been a hit in their own fly-on-the-wall TV shows The Saturdays 24/7 and What Goes On Tour.
Lawson made their mainstream breakthrough when supporting The Wanted on tour two years ago. They became massive in 2012 with three top ten singles and in the autumn they released their first album, Chapman Square, which reached number four in the charts. This month they embark on their Chapman Square tour.

We have been before - this time we took our children (!) and grand-children. The whole day was brilliant - seven races, a couple of trips to / from the parade ring to see the horses and jockeys close up (great photos of Frankie Dettori), we even saw Lawson arrive and be escorted by security - the two grand-daughters were ecstatic! Plenty of food and drink choices throughout the day. Lawson were Awesome, The Saturdays were great, the crowd thoroughly enjoyed both and sang and danced throughout. I...
