The Cribs are an indie rock band formed in Wakefield in 2001 by brothers Gary, Ryan, and Ross Jarman. Known for their raw energy and DIY ethos, the band quickly established themselves with their self-titled debut in 2004 and the breakthrough follow-up The New Fellas in 2005, which included the cult anthem Hey Scenesters!. Their 2007 record Men’s Needs, Women’s Needs, Whatever, produced by Franz Ferdinand’s Alex Kapranos, brought them mainstream attention with hits like Men’s Needs and cemented their reputation as one of the most vital British guitar bands of the 2000s.
Over the years, The Cribs have continued to evolve, releasing acclaimed albums including Ignore the Ignorant (2009) with Johnny Marr, For All My Sisters (2015), and Night Network (2020), their self-produced comeback recorded at Foo Fighters’ Studio 606. With a reputation for blistering live performances, their shows balance raucous energy with heartfelt anthems that resonate deeply with fans.
The band are set to release their ninth studio album Selling A Vibe in January 2026, led by the single Summer Seizures. To celebrate, The Cribs will embark on a headline UK tour in March 2026, following special anniversary warm-up gigs and festival appearances.
