UK Foo Fighters is a tribute band dedicated to replicating the sound and energy of the Foo Fighters. Formed in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, in 2007, the band emerged from a local covers band named Speedsta, known for playing tracks by Nirvana, Green Day, and other rock bands. UK Foo Fighters quickly gained attention and began performing widely at festivals and local gigs.

UK Foo Fighters played their first ticketed show at Daddy Cools nightclub in Knaresborough. Their tribute performances drew significant attention, leading to a broader tour in 2013 at O2 Academy venues across the UK.

A notable moment in the band's history occurred on 10 September 2014 when Foo Fighters' frontman Dave Grohl invited Jay Apperley to perform "White Limo" on stage in Brighton. Rolling Stone magazine highlighted this event, praising the performance.

In June 2015, following Dave Grohl's injury, UK Foo Fighters were approached to play in London and Edinburgh for fans who had tickets to the canceled Foo Fighters shows. This led to high-profile performances and increased their popularity.

The band was featured in a BBC Music short film in June 2017, which showcased tribute acts to Glastonbury headliners, including the Foo Fighters. They also performed at major events like the WUKF World Karate Championships in 2018 and the 92nd UCI Road World Championships in 2019.

In November 2019, UK Foo Fighters recorded a live session at BBC Maida Vale Studios. They celebrated their 15th anniversary in March 2022 with a near-sell-out show. In March 2024, the band was announced to perform at London's O2 Academy Brixton as part of the venue's reopening celebrations.

UK Foo Fighters continue to captivate audiences with their faithful renditions of Foo Fighters' music, maintaining a strong presence in the tribute band scene.
