Joshua Taylor Bassett (born December 22, 2000) is an American actor and singer. He began his career as a teen actor on Disney Channel’s Stuck in the Middle and rose to prominence playing Ricky Bowen in the Disney+ series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series (2019–2023). He also starred in Better Nate Than Ever and voiced a lead character in Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again (both 2022). Bassett signed with Warner Records in 2020 and has released four EPs. His debut album, The Golden Years, is set for release in July 2024.

Bassett was born and raised in Oceanside, California, with five sisters, and was homeschooled. His introduction to musical theater at age eight led to roles in over 30 musical productions before he moved to Los Angeles at 16 to pursue acting.

Bassett’s breakthrough came with his role in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, earning him positive reviews and several awards. He released his debut single, "Common Sense," in 2020, followed by his self-titled debut EP in 2021. In addition to acting and singing, Bassett directed and co-produced many of his music videos. His upcoming album, The Golden Years, is highly anticipated.
