Noel Thomas David Gallagher, born on May 29, 1967, in Longsight, Manchester, is an English musician, singer, and songwriter. Renowned as one of the most successful and influential songwriters in British music history, Gallagher gained prominence as the primary songwriter, lead guitarist, and co-lead vocalist of the rock band Oasis until their split in 2009. Following the breakup, he formed Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.

Gallagher's musical journey began at the age of twelve when he started playing the guitar. Initially a roadie and technician for Inspiral Carpets, he joined Oasis after his younger brother, Liam, invited him to manage the band. Gallagher agreed to join under the condition that he would take creative control and become the sole songwriter and lead guitarist. Oasis rose to fame with albums like "Definitely Maybe" (1994) and "(What's the Story) Morning Glory?" (1995), establishing Gallagher as a prominent figure in the Britpop movement.

Known for his tumultuous relationship with Liam and Oasis's wild lifestyle, Gallagher continued to shape the British rock scene through the late '90s and 2000s. Despite controversies, Oasis produced successful albums, but the band's peak was followed by a decline in popularity. Gallagher's departure from Oasis in 2009 marked the end of an era.

Post-Oasis, Gallagher formed Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and released several albums, showcasing his continued prowess as a songwriter. His solo career included hits like "The Death of You and Me" and "If I Had a Gun." In 2021, he released the greatest hits album "Back the Way We Came: Vol. 1 (2011–2021)."

He also ventured into radio hosting and expressed interest in retiring from live shows in the future.
