Rachel Agatha Keen, known professionally as RAYE, is an English singer and songwriter born on October 24, 1997. She gained initial recognition writing for major artists like Beyoncé and Rihanna before breaking through with 2016 singles "By Your Side" and "You Don't Know Me." Her 2020 single "Secrets" and the 2021 hit "Bed" further established her presence in the music industry.

RAYE's breakthrough came with the viral 2022 single "Escapism," which topped the UK Singles Chart and charted internationally. Her debut studio album, My 21st Century Blues (2023), received critical acclaim and won Album of the Year at the 2024 BRIT Awards, where she set a record for most wins and nominations in a single year.

Prior to her solo success, RAYE faced challenges with record labels but continued to make waves with subsequent hits and performances, including a notable live interpretation of her debut album at London's Royal Albert Hall. In March 2024, she won six BRIT Awards, and in April 2024, she made her Saturday Night Live debut. RAYE is also set to open for Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium.
