Reginald D. Hunter was born in Albany, Georgia, and was the youngest of nine children. Having initially travelled to the UK as a theatre student Hunter became a comedian after performing his first comedy set as a dare.
Hunter was nominated for the Perrier Award at the 2002, 2003, and 2004 Edinburgh Festivals. He won the Writers' Guild Award for Comedy in 2006.
Wasnt as funny as I thought he would be, but still an enjoyable evening. Thought the support act (Pete Johansson) was good so overall well worth the money.
Shame about the venue
London, Eventim Apollo, 30/11/2013
Reginald D Hunter - absolutely hilarious, and his support act Pete Johannson was superb. Unfortunately ruined by Eventim staff trying to move equipment through a set of doors at the rear of the stalls half way through, creating a right racket.
A very funny and deep gig
newcastle upon tyne, Journal Tyne Theatre, 31/05/2013
I've seen Reginalds shows on DVD before and knew his gigs to be those that are well thought out, ask a lot of questions and go deeper than many other comedians will do while still being funny. This went along the same lines, though he went deeper and darker than I'd seen him do before, but still with skill and humour.
